What if someone else sits your exams for you?
-
Why would anyone want too. :P
Oh wait, I guess even brainiacs have their price.
-
lol. i don't trust anyone, but i have on numerous occasions had people ask me to do it for them. haha.
vcaa are so lame. they don't even check I.D.....
-
Plenty of people used to do this by paying their tutors to sit exams for them. That's why you have to have student IDs with you when you sit exams now. I'm not sure how strict other schools have been with this but mine always got checked during exams.
-
:O ioooooooooooooooooooo i think cheating is bad and that u would feel morally consicencely guilty :S
gahhhh...too much releigion and society for me ...
-
lol arent u supposed to be at skool anna ?
-

ok.
-
I'd never consider it. I wouldn't trust anyone else (I'm a bit of a control freak sometimes), and it just doesn't seem right. It's not fair.
-

Can you give your ID to the person doing your exam? Or you mean the teacher checks it?
-
You are meant to be identified by a teacher from your school, or have photo ID checked.
This is not a problem at my school though, last year in my exams, including me, there were 2 people sitting Methods and 5 people sitting BM...
Teacher just identified us.

WHY DO U WANNA KNOW :P so u can cheat LOL JOKES :3
teacher checked our ID but then when i forgot my id for the gta i still needed a picture fake id so we went to the office and the teacher typed ur details on the template and shoved a face on it :P
the examiners didn't care LOL
-
In my exams the VCAA officials stand at outside the exam hall and when its about time they unlock the door.
-
At my exams the supervisors half assedly checked photo ID. It's probably easier to get away with it if you're Asian =P
-
I once had a lady whisper to me in a uni exam when she was checking my ID: "A nice English name for once" O.o

LOL!!
My photo is blue and blurry (ID printer just about exploded when it printed mine) and I used to get bugged alllll the time by invigilators during exams... now I just sit my driver's license on the table as well.
I have all sorts of stuff on my exam table though, and the invigilators never seem to have a problem with it... I ate skittles in my Business Law exam, but I did shit on that one...
-
LOL at above.
at our school one of our assis. principals identify us on the sheet before we enter the room. when we're all in they check to make sure we're all in the right seats. they pretty much are familar with all the year12s so would know if something was up.

We never had to give any form of ID in our VCE exams o.O no teachers around to identify either...

Someone in one of enwiabe's exams got caught with a cheat sheet (close-book exam)... apparently he just had it lying there in plain view... don't know how he thought he'd get away with it
-
i think this thread is silly as for all our exams the vce co-ordinator calls our names one by one as we go to sit and she knows us all... haha i assumed it was the same for all schools.
as if some random sitting down in your place would go unnoticed... ha

There are a lot of unknown kids in our school, do the obscure subjects (spec, languages etc.) that the teachers don't know. If they just got someone to wear there uniform I reckon they'd get away with it no doubt.
-
that's assuming the other students wouldn't rat him out. someone's bound to say "hey who's that sitting in *insert name* seat..."

True, but we have a lot of randoms who sit the exams with us. Like some random from a public school who got expelled right before the exams, we had no idea who she was lol

Same, same.

Mmm... my cohort was pretty small, and a stranger would not have gone unnoticed by the other year 12s...
-
Haha a good looking female wouldn't be able to pull that off.

Cheating in exams is purely unethical. The Australian government condemns this sort of behavior. Offenders will be dealt by the full force of the law.

I thought it sounded weird because it was completely contradicting what he was saying. I thought I was seeing things.
-
We don't even take ID into the exam. But it wouldn't even be worth trying to get someone else to sit an exam for you at our school.
All the teachers know the students, as well as they administration staff, but there is only approx. 90 of us.
-
I think this is pretty stupid, and the teachers would have to be pretty dum not to notice.
But our school makes us bring photo ID into all exams. So yeah.
-

Because all Asians look the same? LOL

Having their exam taken off them and getting a 0 for it is the full force of the law?

whoops - i was meant to write "condemn"

At my school the coordinator reads out the names of each individual and we sit in our respective spots :)
Apparently last year a guy took in a TI-89 calculator into his NON-calculator methods exam :|
(Not because he was trying to sneak it in, but because he forgot it was a non-calculator exam)
How he went by unnoticed is what I'm wondering...

It was a joke, take it easy.
