What a horrid waste of time. Whoever thought it was a good idea to gather all the Arts students on the South Lawn obviously never thought of those of us who would spend 20 minutes finding trying to find our groups. Not to mention the third year "guide" who had about as much idea where everything was as the first year students. The "free stuff" at the carnival was non-existent. I got about as much as an idea of "uni life" as i would have if i stayed home. I can only hope that Day 2 is better.

I thought it was a good day. My host was great and our group was really small which made chatting to people a lot easier. I only stayed at the carnival for a little bit as I was pretty tired, but it did look fairly small.
I can see what coblin/brendan have been saying about all the socialists at uni. This group had a sign that said something like "capitalism breeds economic crisis", lol.

haha i knew it was something like that so i didn't go

Haha, I dropped by the carnival at around 10 past 2 and got first dibs on nearly everything, bottle openers, ice tea, torches, commonwealth showbags with mi goreng in it, the union showbag.. the frisbee. That was one of the highlights of the day, not that there were that many

I beg to differ, I scored a play of the $320,000 steinways at music, managed to taste food from all different areas/faculties of uni plus went on a pub crawl with the environment alcoholics. Today was a huge step up from yesterday (apart from any information sessions, they were just as useless as yesterday)

On the second day I saw the MUMS exhibit. Nothing else matters. True story.
