Hi,
I have an item response sac coming up soon.
What exactly is it?
Apparently, it has something to do with answering multiple choice questions...
-
You have to pick which multiple choice question is right and then the other responses which are distractions.
e.g. One of the multiple choice responses may have come from you incorrectly adding a+b instead of a+c (something silly would you lead you to that response)

How would you explain the wrong solutions - do u explain how they are wrong or do you explain how the student might have come up with that answer (i.e. the mistake they made)?

I always explained how they might have come to the answer (i.e. which step they performed incorrectly)
e.g. The student may have incorrectly simplified the fraction (.....) to obtain D.

Wow this is weird, we had to do this last year for GMA.
Its so screwed up, we have to go out of our way, to find the wrong answer by deliberately multiplying or adding wrong or whatever.

this is strange. i have never heard of this. does every spesh student do this??

It is just one style of SAC; it depends upon your teacher.
