My psychology teacher has informed me that we will be having a SAC on visual perception and one of the questions in it will involve is explaining the apparent distant theory for the Muller Lyer illusion and the closure theory for the Muller Lyer illusion. Does anyone here have any good explanations for why the apparent distant theory and closure theory for the Muller Lyer illusion work? Anyone have any 'perfect explanations' they could share? I hate when we have to explain stuff, easier memorise I think... ;D
