Instead of bashing through 100 practice exams and repeating 100 inelastic and momentum conservation questions that are always the same, I think its a good idea all of us to post some questions you found challenging and discuss.
Personally, I find those electronic questions hard (which I have already posted in recent threads) where you got to find where to place Vout in order to obtain a desired output voltage.
Gravitation is rather hard especially the calculator work. Always forgetting the ^3 or ^2 or root because the numbers are so big. Other than that its pretty straight forward application of formulae. Actually, although I have not came into any in VCAA exams, those that involve fractions are actually quite tricky. Such as find the acceleration if the mass of planet is 1/2 of earth and radius is 1/3 of earth or something.
Motion, I mainly do not understand that 2010 neap lawn mower question...like how is that net force etc...kinda weird..

Question 8 :P
-
Is it just count the square*5*0.1=1/2mv^2?
-
The solution confused me more: http://www.itute.com/wp-content/uploads/phys_trial_exam1_2006_solv2.pdf

2008 chemistry was so easy, then 2009 was hard. I have a feeling this years's physics is gona be hard. :(
-
Yeah. I reckon it's gonna be pretty hard, but that's a good thing for me, cause I always make at least a couple of stupid mistakes.
Probably won't be thinking this on tues though...

I did checkpoints and encountered several RMS questions in the amplifier section. Are we required to know that if we didn't do further electronics?
-
I don't think they would throw an RMS in electornics and photonics section as that would place the guys who are doing further electronics at advantage
-
I don't think so. My teacher reckons we should know what rms is, but that we won't get these questions on the exam. Maybe check the study design to make sure though.

Sweet, I hope not
