Title: Special consideration for mid-year

So I was sick just before exams (got a doctors note and everything) but didn't wanna mess with VCAA so just did the exams and GAT anyway. I think I suffered a bit because of this so is there anything I should do?

Also, I think on one test I did pretty well (between 80-90%) but could have easily done better if I could actually concentrate, so would that get scaled up if I get special consideration or stay idle?

sure you could apply, you probably should, but in my honest opinion I doubt VCAA would give any special consideration for general sickness (especially since you were able to complete the exams)

The result would most likely stay the same

I know a few people who applied for Special consideration last year with genuine sicknesses. However, those people have applied many days before the exam whereas you are applying post exam. Also, they applied for chem and accounting but ur applying for the GAT.

But you might wanna give it a go =]

I had special consideration/SEAS during VCE but I applied months in advance.
If it's a one-off problem that actually seriously impacts on your exams, you'd need to contact them straight after the exams. Waiting a couple of weeks and then applying isn't going to help you. But you should call them, all they can do is say no, you can't apply.

It's too late to apply. You usually have to get your paperwork in by 7 days after your last exam (ie GAT).
