Whirlpool people are a bunch of whingers who like to complain about how they failed at life and then blame external factors for it. If you read too much you'll start to think that it's impossible to get a job in any industry.

^^This. These people probably have a low GPA, possibly barely passed everything [or even failed some units]. Many engineering graduates fall into these situations, thinking that just graduating will land them a 70k job. Tough luck kids, life is a bitch.

Nothing like that, they're just profiling candidates to make sure they're up to the rigors of the job. I've got a family friend (no idea if he's chemical or one of the other specialties) who needs to travel regularly to relatively dangerous regions of the world to inspect machinery etc.

But yeah, whirlpool is primarily a tech forum and there are a lot of sub-standard people posting there. There are some people who know what they're talking about, I post there occasionally heh
