Is it hard to transfer from Caulfield Business to Clayton Commerce with a 70% credit thing? I don't really know what this means but is it hard?
-
70% WAM (weighted average mark) I think you mean, it's just your average, it's not too hard but then again it's dependent on your abillities and work ethic.
-
It's magnitudes harder than getting 70 as an ATAR
-
yeah you learn pretty quickly that scores like 80+ are the equivalent of near perfect marks in sch

For me, yup. For my friends, nope.
It's all dependent on which subjects you do and how motivated you are without the pressures of VCE.

I'd liken getting 70% in uni to getting 90% in high school... it's certainly achievable, but you have to put in the work. A lot of it also comes down to whether you have an affinity for what you're studying. If I did maths or science, I would most certainly fail. But I've found my niche in commerce, so I'm doing okay.

you will also quickly learn the art of choosing subjects that will get you 80+ with the least amount of effort.

I didn't get HD for that unit... I have brought shame and dishonour upon my family.

Fyrefly, you did the undoable.

Things to consider when you talk about transferring. You still need to meet the maths pre-requisite if you havent done Methods or Spesh in VCE. You can meet this requirement by doing a maths equivalent at Monash (I think its called MTH1010) or by doing a bridging course (Uni Learn).

I'd disagree. I would say it's more like getting an 80% in high school. Maybe that's because I'm doing a Management and IT double major whilst Fyrefly does Accounting/Finance (am I right?) and a language.
It does matter what units you do as some of them you will find easier than others. Eg. Intro to marketing I got 83 from memory but in Microeconomics I got 67 (from memory)

At this stage: accounting major, Jap major (diploma), Jap minor (degree), finance minor.
I'm pretty sure BusEco doesn't recognise minors, but that's the best way I can explain it...
I don't understand how you can even put up with management.
The 1st-year subject made me want to JIGAI (Cthulhu... I'm not a dude... I don't SEPUKU "=.=)

Sepuku anyway. Sounds much more awesome than Jigai.

Management is just my cruisey way through Uni. Some of it is interesting. International Business last semester was interesting and Strategic Management is interesting this semester. Organisational Change is a mind fuck this sem. It really depends on the unit.
