Title: Polar Coordinates Question
Post by: wildareal on October 16, 2010, 02:36:24 pm
The polar equation of the circle with centre [3,TT/2] and radius 3? Thanks. The answer is r=6sin(theta). How do you get to it?
Thanks.

Do you go from:

x^2+(y-3)^2=9 and then sub in rcos(theta) and rsin(theta) ?

yeah let x = rcos(theta) and y be the other one
