Title: Help with VCAA 2008 exam 2 question 4e

Is it right if I think that...
You know how dy/dx = 0 gives min and max of the top and bottom of a graph, does dx/dy = 0 give the min and max to the left and right?

Yes.
It is essentially the same as equating dx/dt to 0.
