Title: MAV 06 EXAM 2 CORE - PLEASE EXPLAIN

guys i don't get this, can someone please explain. I thought IV would be in left column and DV in top middle box. but solutions say otherwise

Number of medals = Dependant Variable
Country = Independant Variable
and yeah typically i would say IV in the left column.

it is MAV and company exams are notorious for having irrelevant or incorrect questions.
never seen a vague/bad question like this in vcaa, so i'd just say don't worry.

yeh, this question is ambigiuos as fuck.
the layout is stupid, vcaa exams are passed through about 5 different boards to remove ANY ambiguity, so this quetion COULDN'T be on vcaa

I wouldn't go that far.  VCAA are usually good, but dumb, ambiguous questions still get through the cracks...
