Question 3c where it says f^-1(f(x) can someone explain please how they got the rule?

They have just given you a function ( composite) and when you simplify it it should give you   watch out for domain though.

no thats the thing u have negative  Square root of (x-2)^2 +2
Now how do i know whether i take the negative or positive root of (x-2)2

Has anyone noticed there are a number of wrong answers in the solutions? e.g for Q9C, it says "A dilation of factor 2 from the y-axis and a reflection in the y-axis", when it should be a reflection in the x-axis.
