Hey guys, i dont get what p<0.05 or p>0.05 actually mean? And what the difference is between them.
Could someone explain for me please?
-
A p value <(less than)0.05 indicates that there is less than a 5% chance that the results from a study occurred due to chance alone. This generally means that the results are STATISTICALLY SIGNIFICANT.
A p value >(more than)0.05 indicates that there is more than a 5% chance that the results from a study occurred due to chance alone. This generally means that the results are NOT STATISTICALLY SIGNIFICANT.

Thankyou, perfect explanation!

commit them both perfectly to memory coz they will ask it. and for some reason lots of people don't get it right so it's easy marks.

the pointy side is always the smaller side, compared to the wide open space side which is always the bigger side..
sooo
small/pointy = smaller
wide/open = bigger
