Title: something i found funny

1. A flock of birds migrates to a different climate at a certain time year. This sort of behaviour is an example of:
a. a reflex
b. a learned response
c. a fixed action pattern
d. a response that is elicited by the presence of a hen in oestrous

the answer is obviously C. but i wanted to know wth 'oestrous' meant. so i looked it up and "a state or period of heightened sexual arousal and activity that applies to nonhuman mammals"

thats one sexually active hen, if it can make a whole flock of birds migrate to a different climate every year  :?
