Title: Losing marks on SIGNIFICANT FIGURES

How can we totally prevent this? I never get it right!

if it helps, I would highlight the smallest sig figs in each question (I don't do this just saying)

Pretty sure you only lose one mark over the whole exam for sig figs, if that's any consolation.

Say they have a numbers like 12.44 and 130 and our answer was 1450. Do we make it 1.5 x 10^3?? And thanks for suggestion

well 3 sig figs there, so you would do 1.45 x 10^3

essentially the same thing, but 1.45 x 10^3 is more simplified
