Title: linear algebra?
Post by: kdgamz on December 16, 2010, 03:40:03 pm
I'm thinking of doing linear algebra this summer but im not sure if i'd be able to cope.
I'm starting second yr biomed next year and I also have to study for the GAMSAT so if anyone could tell me how easy/hard linear algebra is particularly when done as a summer subject, that would be appreciated...

thanks

Hey :)
I did linear algebra in the summer of 2009.

As a summer subject, I found linear algebra to be quite easy :) (especially because I only had to focus on one subject).

I achieved a H1 in this subject (which would not usually happen for me if I did it during the university semester - I suck at maths real bad).

Yeah, linear algebra is pretty easy. You'll be fine.

Sitting the GAMSAT in 2nd year doesn't require a full on study commitment, you've got a second chance in 2012 and you've got the 1st year knowledge fresh in your mind

Linear Algebra is OK. The lecturers are obsessed with proofs though, so if you hate proofs, don't worry about them - I knew literally none of the proofs and pulled off H2A.
