just wondering how long would it take to get there
-
Public transport: http://metlinkmelbourne.com.au/
Car: http://www.whereis.com/
-
would it be worth going to if i needed to spend 2 hours each day on transport?
-
Do you mean 2 hours both ways? Or 1 hour there and 1 hour back.
If the 1st, I'd say it's not really worth it unless it's some subject that Monash does better than any other university (doubtful), or it's that far to any other uni as well. Maybe consider living in a college on campus? Imagine if you got an 8am lecture - nobody can keep that kind of motivation/dedication up.
If the 2nd, well that's mostly how long it takes for me too, so from experience I'd say it's doable. But again depends on
- what exactly you want to do
- how long it would take you to get to other unis in comparison
- how likely you are to lose motivation
- how lazy you are generally
-
ah ok thanks lol the 2nd one. its about 3 to 5 minute walk to the staition so i was just wondering. im kinda think of doing bachelor of commerece if i get a high enough atar.
-
yeah I think you should be fine, just don't pick 8am lectures
-
Find a train/car buddy!
-
Lol, journey planner?
-
I got 2 hours each way and im going.....(but thats just because i didnt get into melbourne....fingers crossed for transfer... i dont know how long i could take it)
If you plan to stay there for 3 years i dont know how sustainable all this travel would be....
(I also live in the west)
