Uni grades and VCE stuff. I think my 86 H1 average and my 50 in Biol would have made me safe.

Convince me in 20 secs that I should be a neurologist and not a clinical neuropsychologist: go.

Well from my half assed 30 sec google search, they both seem interesting enough. :P
If you like cutting stuff open and are really into science then maybe you would prefer neurologist. If you are more of a people person, then I guess clinical neuropsychologist could be better as it seems to have more to do with communicating with patients.
Anyway, as they are both medically related you should probably do biomed.
Edit: And btw, I can totally imagine the business cards: Dr. Mavis Gibbons haha

Yeah I should change my name to that because it is like 1000 times cooler than my actual name.
Anyway, you are correct - this is the root of the decision I have to make, sigh.

^ those two are quite different. not really related.
neurologist: medicine, requires 4 year post-grad degree followed by a lot more training to specialise in neurology as a doctor. where you work on the medical conditions.
clinical neuropsychologist: psychology, i think its a honours (4th year) and then 2 years of the masters, then you are qualified to work as a specialised psychologist. its more like psychiatry with what you are working with and is less science based/time consuming/life consuming/stressful then the doctor option.
you have time and if you still unsure after 3 years of doing psych/medicine prereq subjects.. i'd say apply for medicine, if you dont get in then go do honours in psych, you can always re-try for med or continue on to do your masters in neuropsychology from there. also a career change further down the track to medicine is easier than the other way round.

You need to do psych major in the ugrad to apply for psych honours/postgrad and that must be done in either Science or Arts. So that's why the decision between Biomed and Arts is still standing.

If you want an actual reason, a clinical psychologist doesn't get a prescription pad :P

Is tru. And they work in an office at like, the back of the hospital buildings on the same floor as my brother.
I have been there.
