Just wondering
-
Yes. Definitely.
And if you live in college, you'll get to know all sorts of rivalries.
-
Awesome can't wait to play next year.
-
No, the university doesn't allow for any physical activity that isn't dying from too many readings.
-
I'd imagine most of the footy players being from outside of the university, since most melbourne uni students would be bookworms?
-
Yeah the uni team is comprised entirely of non uni students
-
I hear there's also American football. I want to go see one of their games at some point.
-
Melbourne has two footy teams: the uni blues and the uni blacks. The majority of the players are from Melbourne uni, although you don't have to go to the uni to play for them. Mark Bolton plays for the blacks, too.
I played for the uni blues for a bit last year, but quit because I was getting drunk all the time and couldn't be arsed staying sober for training.
A few of my mates play in the grid iron team and reckon it's great fun.
-
I don't understand football.
At all...lol.
-
Of course there is :P
Playing uni sport at Monash or Melbourne accelerates your way through the ranks if you are keen on getting somewhere big through sport. Though I do base this off the fact that if you get into either team in cricket, you're automatically at the highest level of cricket in Victoria (and will occasionally be playing against teams with some Interstate/National players :P)

do you play premier cricket taiga?
