Hey guys, this isn't actually a vce physics question.
It's for my PHS1080 class which is foundation physics and im hoping its similar in scope to VCE physics, anyway here is my question:
In summary form - This guy lives in a two storey house. At the bottom of the stairs theres a switch which he uses the turn the light on at night so he can see his way up. The switch at the bottom can turn the light off and on. At the top of the stairs there is also another switch that he uses to turn the light on/off.
Design a circuit in which two different switches of the type shown can both operate on the light from both the 2nd level of the house and the 1st. Include a powersupply, the 2 switches and the light.
Heres the switch they want us to use.

The problem with my second attempt is that if the first switch is turned on, then the second switch will have no effect on the circuit. I think if the 'off' section of the second switch could do something to stop the current flowing to the light, it would work.

Wow, did you use as program to draw that? Which one and what do the boxes represent in your diagram

It's Crocodile Physics. The boxes aren't relevant, they're what you press in the program to close the switch.
