Anyone from here going?
-
I got a chemistry one on that day, but I'm considering going to the TSFX physics lecture that's on the following week.
-
Im going on the 5th of june =]
-
I was going to go then, but I thought its so close to the exams and that the lecture may frighten me abit lol. I think the lecturer is Geoff Davies from memory.
-
I wish i could go to the one next week, but I'm being forced to go to my cousins 21st :\
-
Other then the notes, do they give anything else? Like trials maybe ?
-
Is geoff taking the one this week or next?
-
I know his on for the 29th not so sure about the 5th.
-
They only gave us notes at the chemistry one, (about ~350-380 pages of notes), but no trial exams :\
-
I'd rather have geoff then the other dude.
-
So is it worth going? Its $95 right.. i'm not sure about it
-
I really need someone with experience to go over all the photonics and basically all the electronics side theory with me.
Wasn't at all in depth at my school.
-
We will get notes which are good from what I heard, so it should clear things up.
Nobody going on the 29th ?

The other guy (Not Geoff) is the man you want them, he's an Electrotech teacher... Geoff is just a physics dude.
-
I think they will both be there, I just had a look at the brochure. Geoff and the other guy from Hailebury College. I'm guessing they might cover 1 AOS each, not quite sure about Detailed study.
-
Yep, going. Should be 'inspiring' (I need the motivation)
-
rohit, u drained it :/
-
ye 29th im going... im thinking it will be alot more about the exam and exam strategies/tips/tricks then the chem one, just cause unit 3 physics seems so much smaller than chem!
-
Geoff is a pro.
-
I'm going to this one with a few friends. Really need a kick start to get into exam mode for physics
-
See you guys there, Ill most probably be lonely tomorrow :/
-
Quick question for the ones going. Do we need to take our scientific calculators ?
-
Well, it's not necessary. Last week at the chemistry exam, people were using their Ti-nspires, others were using scientific and some people didn't bring a calculator at all.
At the chem lecture, they did all of the calculations for us, so i'm assuming that would be what its gonna be like tomorrow.
Just bring your calculator to be on the safe side =]
-
Can someone find out for me, whose taking the lecture that's next week?
-
From the brochure:
Teachers: Mr Geoff Davies, B.Sc.(Ed.) (Senior VCE Teacher - Melbourne Grammar School).
Dr. Greg Wilmoth, B. Sc (Hons)., Ph.D., Dip. Ed., Grad. Dip. Computing (Senior VCE Teacher - Haileybury College).
I'm not sure what's going to be happening with the detailed studies though
