Title: Reaction Pathways

Hi guys,
In every practice exam so far, it has been mainly reaction pathways that have made me lose a lot of marks.
The question that I hate most is the one where it says to create a reaction pathway for so and so to produce so and so.
Is there anyone of understanding reaction pathways easier? I've looked over it many times and still can't get the hang of it.

Get a diagram of all the reaction pathways and stick it up onto your wall.

Yep I agree, put a mindmap up.
also decide whether you will work forwards (e.g. what should I do with an alkane to make it more reactive?)
or backwards (e.g. how do I make an ester?) and then work through it logically step by step
