Has everybody had theirs and if so, how did you go?
We did the 2007 VCAA exam which was really easy IMO.
I got 40/40 for Exam 1 and 59/60 for Exam 2.
-
got mine this week
cbf going though, ive probably already done them
-
Ehhh... we did the 2007 exams as well. :/
Exam 1: 39/40 and Exam 2: 50.5/60
Was abit dissapointed with the mistakes I made, but overall I've been pretty happy with the exams I've done.

wow thats some very impressive scores. We haven't had a maths prac exam at school, however i have done many at home. My best for MC so far is 35/40 while my best SA is 50/60.
-
Yeah exam 2 had some tricks to it. I'd done parts of 2007 before, so i think the solutions had leaked into my subconscious lol. Nevertheless, i'm sure you're prepared.
-
Ughh.. I did pretty bad
Exam 1: 29/40
Exam 2: 43/60
I phail further.

you haven't failed. You actually did quite well. If you just got a few more questions right you would have some awesome results. I got 29/40 on my first practice exam like 1 month ago, and yesterday i did my trials and got 40/40. It's simple revision: study what you don't know and learn from your mistakes - enough said.

excellent advice. My first prac mc exam was just before the holidays and i got 26/40 lol. The most important thing to do is always understand where you went wrong and prevent it from happening again. When you start doing that im sure you will see your marks go up.

Hmmm Amnsesiac, what private company do you think provide the best quality trial exams in preperation for the finals?
Just interested.

Yeah I guess I should keep at it and rectify my mistakes.

MAV ones are harder.. but since many of their members will be actually writing your exam, it pays to do at least some MAV papers

I NEED MOTIVATIOONNNNNN :'(

I agree with VCE01 in that heffernan produce the best quality papers, aside from VCAA. They were very similar to the actual exams which is really beneficial. There's no point doing exams that aren't in the same format, actually i'll retract that - there is a point, but it would be better to do ones that are more similar. I haven't done any MAV yet Glockmeister, but i will definately do one soon because i am running out of questions lol.

MAV ones are harder but I don't think some of the business maths questions they ask would ever come up on a VCAA exam. can't remember why exactly but i know that's what i thought after doing a couple of VCAA ones.
