i always get 32 - 34. I once got 35 and thats the best ive got.

My advice would be to go over your exams and learn what u did wrong and then dont replicate that mistake

go through your exam before checking the answers. not that i ever do it :P but you probably would eliminate a couple of mistakes if you did.

yeah. haha I always used to get 34 or 35 because i used to just rush and check the answers straight away... but now I take a good extra 20 minutes (i always finish way early anyway) and go back over my answers and i've been getting 37+ nearly all the time now.. if i get 37/40 on the exam i'll be very happy

I average about 1-2 mistakes for exam 1.
Most of my mistakes are pretty silly mistakes, and if i had checked my work thoroughly, i might have found them :P

Anyway, my advice would be that after you have completed your exam (that's if you have time), when you're checking your answers, instead of working the question out again in the same way, go through a process of elimination and cross out each option that is wrong. I've found that sometimes when i repeat the same question again, i'm likely to make the same mistake as i did the first time (as i'm thinking in the same way) so i find thats its more safer to use a slightly different way to check the second time, to avoid making the same mistake? Lol, i'm not good at explaining, i give up :P haha

Just make sure you read the question very very carefully and check to make sure you don't jump to a conclusion straight away, further maths likes to play little tricks on you :P

Lowest thus far for me has been 32 and highest 37. Mode been 37 haha. Can't crack 38.

But that been said when I do practice I rush and that not under pressure feeling so hopefully in the exam I can calm down.

Hehe, looking over your paper may just help you understand all of your mistakes. As for me, I will never learn maths (If I had done further, would I be able to cope :P)?

Well that is not working. I have like 0.6 strike rate on questions that involve regression/three line medians

I just really want to get 38+/40 and 57+/60. I've been averaging 35-37 for exam 1 when i do all the practice exams from various companies, and 40/40 on the vcaa exams. For exam 2 i've been averaging 52-55 for all the practice exams and 57+/60 for the vcaa exams.
