I don't think it's in the study design, so I'll say no.

apparently we dont need to know about it according to my teacher, but learning about what it is isnt harmful unless of course its going to 'interfere' with previously stored information

We don't. It's yet a different type of learning, but we don't have to know it.

Definately not on the study design so they can't test it.
