Jus do a quick summary of things u think are useful or u are not sure.
Also remember to put some stragedies of using calculator ( binomial, nomial, fint area, inverse)
Just in case u forget.
Personally i dont prefer bring the wholelot book in.( exam buster)
coz i dont think there is much time for u to go through all the notes or examples again.
SOMETHING brief and easy to understand will do!
GOOD LUCK to u~lol

My Methods A+ notes with a few things written in/highlighted over the year.. I doubt I'll even look at it - maybe the order of transformations page =P
-
just textbook cause you know where everything is and you can throw some notes in, in the back
-
Lol, in the 4 trial exams I have done... I have never looked at my bound book... Doesn't mean I did well, though. :(. Calculator FTW! Best thing ever invented! :)

I don't generally use a bound book at all when doing Methods Exam 2s. I figure if I don't already know it, the book certainly doesn't. This pretty much only applies to unique and difficult questions that wouldn't appear in the book. Regardless, I'm taking in my Methods book, and I've printed off and stapled the itute methods notes to the back for good measure. I know I'm not going to use it, and I realise it will just take up space on the table, but the look people get when they see that I actually stapled the two together (rather roughly I might add) is priceless enough for me to bring it in anyway!
-
The only notes I'm bringing are of transformations =_= lol.

lol. A friend of mine suggested that I take in a completely unrelated book instead of the standard bound reference and be like: "What? I brought this in for some light reading."

'Vectors are a necessary evil like brushing your teeth' and '6 x 3 =18' and something about a damn good song. Are you for real?? Your not actually bringing that into the specialist exam are you?? lol

Thanks dcc, you've restored my faith in humankind.

Haha I've done similar in my SACs but I don't think I have the balls to do it in an exam. Props to ya!! :D
In one of my SACs I wrote motivational phrases all over the page, haha. I was like, "Go Alex!!! You can do it!!"
People were looking at me like... what?
-
lol
im taking past exams + solutions hoping they ask similar questions

Lol yeah same.

The bound reference thing is a load of bollocks if you understand the course well enough. One of my friends got 50 in spec without bringing anything in (and yeah, he was smart, but not a complete genius - I managed to beat him in UMEP maths :P).
I think I opened my bound reference once in the spec exam (when I did methods, they still had the two 1½ hour exams with a double-sided cheat sheet...).
-
It's all about having a security blanket really. You may not need to use it, but knowing you have it if need be is comforting.
-
Didn't touch my reference during the exam :S was really a waste of time making one.

Yeah, I think I looked at mine twice, and they were thinks that were on the formula sheet they gave us anyway. And to think of all the time I spent writing up that thing...
