Title: Need help with 06 VCAA exam!!

Can somebody please check question 8 in Electric Power VCAA 2006 exam and tell me why they get such a value for the time interval?

i did this about 15 mins ago

thats the only question i got wrong lol

u only take the time its entering or leaving field

yeh but how do you know it only travels 2 cm to enter the field?
is it because its length in 2cm?

yeh i think so

take it as leaving field
the length reqiured to totally leave field is 2cm

Must travel to enter/exit field, and is travelling at .




How did people go on this exam? Ughhhh only got 78/90. Made alot of mistakes...


Actually would someone mind explaining this question from Light And Matter? The assessors report didn't really explain it that well.

6. Figure 2 shows that electrons in a sodium atom can only occupy dpecific energy levels. Describe how the wave nature of electrons can explain this.

Don't get it.

Don't get it.

Standing waves - an integer multiple of the wavelength must equal to the circumference to avoid destructive interference, which explains these discrete energy levels.

For any questions the examiners dont explain fully (which seem to be alot) just go to itute.com and check out their solutions. If you have 2008 Checkpoints you can also find your question in there and they provide in depth explanations.
