does that mean that you can choose two pathways from the science degree?

Huh?
-
which course is it?
double degree of science at Monash?
they dont have that!
-
i think it means u can have 2 majors, im unsure though
-
Wow! So if people don't just want to do science, the can do science/science? More bang for your buck.
-
lol
no you can already do 2 majors in just normal science
-
lol i thought i'd just take a punt hahahah
-
Maybe it meant bachelor of biomedical science/science ?
-
ha yeah its prob that i never heard of science/science wtf? that doesnt make sense
ed_saifa makes sense though...
-
i don't think it's monash but another uni, wait i'll have a look in the vtac guide i got
-
i have seen science/science before, but like hard, i dont know where? perhaps la trobe?
-
La Trobe has the science/science course.

With the regular Science course at Monash, you can take a double major if you like.
If you're fortunate enough to get into the Scholar's Program, you can end up doing a triple major as caramel will be doing if I recall correctly.
Maybe it meant bachelor of biomedical science/science ?
There's also Computer Science/Science :P
-
so much science science science stuff lol
with bachelor of science you can do a double major and you can also do like two different majors , like in double you substitute some units with others but you can also do the full 4 units + 4 units for two seperate majors...
-
can someone give some details about finishing a course quicker than usual; esp. monash.
eg. it saids that you may complete extra units over the summer holidays, but i think thats only for 2nd year+?
how many months or years does that reduced it to eg. for a double degree??
thx!!
-
Think of University study not in years but completing a certain number of subjects (credit points) and making sure your subject selection meets the criteria for graduation (completion of core units).
So, for a typical Science single degree student, you'd complete 4 units x 2 semesters x 3 years = 24 subjects.
You can do up to two summer units (some faculties charge you CSP if you're a CSP student, others charge full fee) at an absolute maximum. Most do one. You can overload an unit per semester, with faculty approval. This generally does not happen until second year and also if you've maintained a certain (generally Distinction / Credit) average.
This will mean that you can complete your course about one semester quicker (1 unit x 2 summer semester (end of 1st and end of 2nd) and two overloaded semesters = 4 units). That being said, you're gonna be a zombie afterwards.
You can also take a reduced load and extend your degree. If you do 0.75 EFTSL per year (3 units a semester as Fyrefly is doing), your 3 year degree will take 4.
Like I say, the easiest way to look at course lengths is how many units/credit points you need to have. Then add on the fact that you may be able to overload a unit per semester after first year and take one or two subjects in the summer.

I do BBIS.
Most of my units are the more business-oriented FIT units, but I have taken a few CS units that were in the common core.

ah ok cool LOL yeah i didnt c his signature well i dont actually look at them...
