Title: VCE Bookstores?
Post by: /0 on December 29, 2008, 04:53:35 pm
Does anyone know of any good stores that sell vce books? I've got $120 worth of book vouchers I need to spend but it seems most stores I've been to just sell novels and crap biographies. :-\

Academic and General

Endeavour books

SSRC

Link - Educational Supplies

PS. There are book vouchers that can be used in any bookshop? I could use $120 for some VCE books at the moment.

I was also going to suggest Landmark and Campion. They are two booklist suppliers, so they've got all the books.

Academic & General is sometimes good for textbooks, but I think there's a higher chance you'll have to order something in if you want it new.

I've only been to A&G but does anyone know a store that has a better discount than A&G (5% off each item) or just generally cheaper prices? A&G books are listed as the same price as Campion (before discount).

Hey how good is SSRC's study guides?

They have study guides for most English texts, and they distribute practice exam books for all maths and science subjects, including many others. One of my old teacher runs the store himself and books are dead helpful. Worth a look.

There's a list of books on the site.

The essays in SSRC's own English guides are pretty bad. Most I'd take from them is inspiration for ideas, but don't copy their writing style (or rather, lack of one).
