Post by: kurrymuncher on June 05, 2009, 01:12:02 am
My stupid IT teacher is making the class prepare for a trial exam on unit 3 today, and he's sending our bloody scores to the vcaa as an indicative grade. what the fuck? our exam is in november. Doesn't he know that people have midyear exams for more important subjects  >:( >:(

Perhaps he's just saying that so you can actually try on the exam. Doubt he'll send anything into VCAA. But, i may be wrong.

Likely but not impossible. We have a SAC that is externally marked (or our teacher could just be telling the same lie as yours).

Every 3/4 teacher has to submit an indicative grade for each students. This indicative grade plays no part in determination of study score unless you apply for derived score.

Normally teachers would use practice exam(s) performance as indicative grades.

But shouldn't he only be sending the indicative scores when we do a 3/4 trial exam, not just a unit 3 exam ....as I.T Apps is a 25-25-50 subject?
