What is the importance of reviewing and changing policy in large scale organisation?

I had something to do with constant change in internal and external environments, not 100% sure

Most likely due to the constantly changing nature of the modern day business environments, the organisation therefore must be proactive in their efforts in updating policies to suit the nature of the present and future times to ensure the best possible performance of the business bla bla bla
