Question, say I want to do masters of engineering, does that mean because of the breadth subjects required, I can't do a double major in Commerce?
+1
Also if you are able to do a double major (finance/acc or finance/eco) would there be any spare units at all after taking into consideration the engineering sequence? - I was thinking that it might depend on what majors you are are doing and which eng sequence cos some of them have overlapping units.

How da heeeeelll do you use the handbook? I search a keyword i.e. finance and nothing comes up... :s

With the double major with the eng breath sequence (i assume it is six subjects?) then in third year you would not have a any spare units but you should have a few in first/second year if you only do the compulsory subjects. Having said that, if you want to get as muhc accreditiation for the CA (accounting) qualification as possible it would not be possible while doing a 6-subject breath sequence as you need to take specific breath subjects and take more accounting subjects than strictly necessary for the major.

Damn all engineering requires 8-10 breadth subjects, so that means you cannot do double.... so the question now is, should I do a double major, or a single major with engineering breadths?

That's strange..did you use quicksearch and select 'all entry types'? It should definitely work.

Well what type of job do you want to go into? i.e. why do the eng in the first place? (don't answer it now, for you to think about) either way, start off with doing everything, then see what you like more and then drop what you don't
