Residential college - move out midyear?

I just have a quick question. I've accepted a place at Whitley college, but now my friend, who was planning to defer, is going to start this year. So I would like to rent out an apartment with her instead. Unfortunately I already paid the deposit for Whitley and don't want to waste it. So I was wondering if it was possible to move out of college midyear? They also accept midyear applications, so people must move out midyear right?

Thanks!
2012 ATAR: 99.90~

2013-2015: Biomedicine at UoM (Chancellor's   Scholars Program)
2016-2019: Doctor of Medicine (fingers crossed that I pass the interview!)

It is possible to move out of College midyear - I have a friend who did exactly that. Granted, I'm not sure if it varies from college to college (this was Newman)

I moved out of a college at ANU midyear - you might forfeit a couple of weeks of board, but otherwise, you generally can.

Alright, thanks guys. We can choose to pay in two lots, one in Semester 1 and one in Semester 2. So if I move out in the holidays it shouldn't be an issue.
