tips for catching up?

I've been trying to catch up with my methods work for a couple of weeks but between making a summary book and my other subjects, as well as my projected goals, I feel like I've made a small mountain for myself to work on. When I am sitting down and trying to work, I feel like there are a bunch of different things on my mind, and I get easily distracted at even the smallest things. Often I'll get stuck on a question and that slows me down further.

Does anyone have any tips for rectifying this? Currently my completed work is patchy between chapters and I'm aiming to get at least one or two chapters ahead.

Hey, I think this advice I'm abt to give you doesn't sound great but I'd like to share my personal experience.
I did methods 3/4 last year when I was in year 11.
With catching up or staying up to date it's important to use class time wisely. I didn't speak to anyone in my methods class as I had no friends in it BUT I never had homework. I would even get ahead just because of that. It's important to at least try to finish exercises started/learnt in class before the next class or before you start the next exercise. I'm doing spec 3/4 this year and this is working for me.
I would do the same thing as you with the distractions and all, but the thing for me was that I needed to accept that I need to get the work done and just do it! (Nothing else worked for me but this)
Make a to-do list or a timetable and get everything you need to get done..done! I know this sounds like awful advice but other than this all I can say is to eliminate distractions. Turn off you electronic devices etc.

Hi :)
One of the things I'd recommend is making a to do list. Don't make them too big, make them do-able, eg "exercise 4G", and when you finish, cross it off. I found when I had a lot to do, it helped being able to cross it off and get that feeling of accomplishment.
Make sure you take breaks and don't overwork yourself. Take breaks every 30-60m, get up and walk around a little bit to break up the work.
Make sure you get enough sleep and eat right - it's not worth staying up late to finish homework, it's much better getting a good night's sleep.
If you get stuck on a question, try looking through the examples as they'll often have similar questions. If you're still stuck, move on and come back to it later or ask your teacher / here how to do it.
You don't have to do every question. If you're struggling getting through it, just do every second question, or a question from each of the sub sections. If possible, try to understand the content instead of just memorising it, it makes it a lot easier. If you have any questions, feel free to post here :)
Good luck!
