Hey guys,

I cant seem to get my head around part d of this question.

I've had a look at the worked solutions but I don't understand it.

I was wondering if there was more than one way to do it (ie an easier to understand way maybe?)

Thanks for any help.

Yeah, this is all about using ratios.

so you must have found out that the Concetration is 0.0855 M

This means that there is 0.0855 mol per litre, so how many mole is in a 100 L?

so I work it out like this:

0.0855 per 1 L
x per   100L

then finding x=8.55 mol

then with that mole multiply to find the grams of NaOH:

8.55 * 40=342 g

Ancient Persian Proverb; " I Wept because i had no Shoes, until i saw a man with no feet!"

First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out --
Because I was not a Socialist.
Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out --
Because I was not a Trade Unionist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out --
Because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me -- and there was no one left to speak for me.
