It would be also good if you just wanna try to focus on 5 subjects rather than 6 subjects
so you can have more time to achieve the best possible score and obviously if you are capable of doing 6subjects, then go for it.
think about it this way: its better to do a 6th subject and fail it than not do a 6th subject at all. what have you got to lose???
This is what is killing me ! both of these suggestions are valid, but they clash.
I dont think you understand the fact that you dont need to put equal amounts of effort in ALL of your subjects. Focus on your primary four(your 4 strongest sunjects including english) and anything else will be a 10% increment (think of them as a bonus). you would be of a slight disadvantage if you do not have the second 10% increment. this is all that i am going to say on the matter. good day

Well, different people have different opinions and it's best to think about that by yourself.
Getting or not getting a bonus doesn't mean you have to do a 6th subjects. You still have have LOTE to be part
of the bonus unless you're aiming for perfect ATAR but I assume you're aiming for 95 as shown.
The 10% of the 6th subjects might be important too..let say you get 40, and then it will added to your aggrgate ATAR as 4(10% only) whereas if you do good in your LOTE subjects, it will scaled up by 2-3 and added another 5(as a bonus)(e.g. Korean raw score 38-scaled up to 46)..I assume that is even more than your 6th subjects as a bonus.
so if you are the kind of people who get stress out easily, 5 subjects would suit your choice but if you are the knd of people who study consistently, 6subjects wouldn't be a problem(as max payne said).

ok: two people do exactly the same subjects(except one person does a 6th subject) and invest exactly the same amount of effort in each of their common subjects. The guy that did the 6th subject does no extra work for it except from showing up to the classes and treats it like a study period for his other subjects. come exam time they both peform the same but one of them does an extra exam and has a go at the exam. who's more likely to do better?...idk thats how i think of it and im really glad i did do a 6th subject in chemistry cause it turns out im actually gaining alot from it. anyway do what you feel is right just know that their are other strategies in getting a high score other than the traditional:"do subjects that you enjoy and try hard in all of them"
ps: i absolutely hated further maths

that's just what you think and that's not a fact. How did you know when two of them perform the same(even though there will be the same, it will still slightly have some difference) and yeah sitting in a classroom for another 6th subjects?I think you can just go out to refresh yourself or just read some useful stuff for your related subjects during your spare time since you cut down the 6th subject.
You don't have to try hard on a subject if you like it, you will defs ace it without requiring much work.

Lol, dont worry..I stuffed them up. Maybe he/she should decide whether 5 or 6 subjects will suit the most.
And yeah a 6th subjects would be a fair help for VCE but then if you're not dedicating into doing 6 suubjects
in a year(or something else) ,why do you wanna put pressure on yourself?
It's not easy when you need to do 6 3/4subjects in a yr 12 unless you're AWESOME.
