I'm having trouble accessing the student portal, anybody else experiencing any problems? On the site it notes "Your student portal has been taken offline to ensure maximum access to Class Registration... "

anyone knows what this means?

It means that this is your first experience of what will become a regular, frustrating occurrence during your time at the tertiary institution that claims to be number 1 in Australia. Although apparently they're getting a new portal soon - I hope that represents a significant improvement.
The Finnish word pilkunnussija, which translates literally to “comma fucker,” is someone who risks his social wellbeing to annoyingly and persistently point out punctuation errors.
