Could someone please upload the ACER UMAT Practice Questions Vol 1 and 2 and Practice Test?

In exchange, here is a guide that I have for Section 1 of the UMAT. Enjoy!

I highly doubt that anyone will upload that because it is only available in hard copy as in you have to purchase it from ACER, hence will have to scan it, however, the pages are in A3 format, therefore, it is troublesome to scan, consequently, it is not possible.

And apparently the ACER ones are easier than the actual UMAT, dont waste your time on those, do the other ones.

i'm doing medentry atm and there seems to be a bit of contradiction going on. The guide above discourages speed reading in the UMAT while MedEntry seems to support it, saying that it is helpful. MedEntry discourages subvocalising but here the guide above is encouraging us to. This confuses me. :( So, what does everybody think about speed reading and subvocalising?

what is subvocalising?

to sound out words in your head without making a sound.

umm well you need to speed read quite a bit in section 1 to find and seperate relevant and nonrelevant info. for the question, but at the same time you need to also be very careful when reading to understand as much as possible

ive done one drill for section 1 but i can speed read very well and did terrible, it makes no sense and i cannot understand it - it'll definitely be my weakest point :(

we have time to improve, so find what works for you!

yeah, i'm gonna need to improve for section 1 especially.

but what difference does it make whether or not you sound things out in your head or with your lips?
and speed reading, although I know nothing about it, sounds like a bit of a gimmick to me.  how are you supposed to sort relevant info and key words from useless garbage when you are trying to race through the question.
i'm curious though lol.  i guess i'll check it out.

anyone who has done the umat if you could shed some light, that would be great. :)

edit:  judging by the fact that we're going to need to get through 44 question in 65 minutes, we're gonna have to learn how to speed read :(
each question has to be solved in no more than 1:15 to 1:30 secs.  *sobs*

yeah.  like someone else said, UMAT prep is going to be my sixth subject lol.  i don't think the questions themselves will be the problem, it will be learning to work within the strict time constraints that will be the most challenging.  i would hate to walk out not having attempted every question.

i'm pretty sure i've got section 3 covered though.  :)
why cant the whole paper be like that!

tbh, the part I am least looking forward to is applying to all the different uni's in aus.  it will be a massive drag...

yeah especially for section 1 the time constraints is gonna be hard as.
practice makes perfect so perhaps soon we will be able to finish with minutes to go.

haha section 3? i found that section annoying, section 2 was what i think i have covered :P

ooh, are you applying for every uni in australia? there's so many..
im only applying for 3 including monash.

i will apply to the 5 or 6 uni's that have 5 year undergrad mbbs for sure.  the six year mbbs ones as well if i can transfer after a year.  I really want to do med, as you can probably already tell...

and lol i dunno, i have always liked those visual type questions from when i was little.  i remember doing the national iq test when it was on tv rofl.

o0o0o what is mensa?

and yeah that section is all pick the next image in the sequence/odd one out/missing picture etc.

I mean hopefully transfer after my first year back to monash if I get good enough grades. do you know if I can do that.
and if my dad is willing to pay for bond, then i'm happy to go there lol.  but there are no CSP's there, and you said something about hospitals giving internships to CSP studetns before FFP students, so that may be a last resort.

mensa is like this high IQ society, search it- the practice for section 3 is IQ tests from MENSA.

umm there are no transfers into monash, once you start tertiary education you can't even apply for monash anymore. most universities are non-credit, non-transfer into. so it's either a 5 or 6 medical program. i'm sure if you do quite well in the umat, you'll get a high ENTER anyways so you will defs get into at least one, perhaps UWS or Bond as they are easier then most. particularly bond.
also, with UTAS which is a 5-year course, for interstate applicants you need a UMAT 99%ile or 100%ile unless you have commenced a year of uni, so no need to apply for that if you dont get that high :P
that makes applications a bit easier. haha

really?  my CAE co-ord, (who seems like a goose)  told me that I could go to Adelaide for a year then i could come back to melb to finish it off.  lying bitch! :P

i'll prob just apply for these 5 then, they are all 5 year undergrad mbbs:
-monash uni
-uni Western sydney
-uni tasmania
-bond uni (qld)
-uni of newcastle (nsw)

probably minus any of the ones that need 98+ UMAT scores lol
