But we can always change them after that right? As long as the changes/confirmations are made before census date, right? (i need to drop one of my subjects and add in another subject but currently, the Student Portal isn't letting me :( )

You should be able to change subjects on the portal up until the 13th of March. Your subjects then revert into a "read only" format on the portal and any changes after the 13th need to be communicated to and authorised by your student centre.
