Hey guys, Im having trouble with this question (lol, havent done much spesh recently)

How do I solve the following:

f(i)= 1 + i + i2+ i3+ i4... i11
            1-i

The answers say f(i) = 0, but how do they get this? A worked solution would be awesome :)

Well i dunno if this is right or not but...
you know how the i has certain values
i^1 = i
i^2 = -1
i^3= -i
i^4= 1
i^5=i and so forth

So
1 + i -1 -i +1 +i -1 -i -1 -i +1 +i -1 -i
______________________________
 1 - i                         

= 0 / 1-i

Man i dunno.. :S i jjust tried
best to wait for the professionals =]
