There's no interviews for pharmacy in most (if not all, not too sure) universities. I know that Monash definitely doesn't.

Erm, not REALLY high from what I recall. I thought it was around a 70 minimum, and 80 to be safe. Hopefully someone can correct me on this because I'm really just doing this from what I remember.

Total raw UMAT score 140+ ... or was it 145+ to be considered. Around there. It's not that high anymore. They even lowered the ENTER to 90+ instead of 95+.

LaTrobe out in Bendigo is the other one in Victoria that has Pharmacy and it has an interview. It's a new course which just had its first intake of students recently.

Yea I have heard La Trobe doesn't need UMAT but needs ENTER of 90+ to be considered.
Do you know if Monash select students with the highest overall score or highest ENTER score?
I mean like if someone got 95 ENTER and 99 percentile UMAT vs someone with 70 percentile UMAT but 99 ENTER. The second person has a higher ENTER and his UMAT has met the requirement however person 1 has an higher overall score but lower ENTER. Which will be at advantage?

I think its more likely the first person will get in cause 70 percentile and 90 percentile is a bigger diff than 95 and 99 ENTER. But im not too sure.

Yea I am not sure whether they consider ENTER or UMAT more important or they are equal such as in medicine?

LaTrobe Pharmacy has been around for a while now. Atleast 7 years. Not that new.

So not fair, lol. Didnt know you were going to compare it to monash... Nah, was just pointing out that it's quite established now. Just making sure that any future suiters aren't detered by it's "relative new (ness:P)".

Forgive me O tooth.

My sister's dream (since she has no hope of getting into undergrad med) is pharmacy. I've suggested to my sis that she put down LaTrobe Pharmacy as a preference just in case she did not into the Monash one.
She refused because she said that LaTrobe was a crap university and with crap facilities - She said she would only go Monash or Unimelb. :( :( :( :(

That's a shame. Her loss to be honest. Also, there is an interview for LaTrobe Pharmacy, which are going to be conducted really soon- so yeh, she would miss out anyway if she "just put it as a preference".

If we can't get in with ENTER and UMAT then do a science course and score well in 1st semester with acceptable UMAT, does it mean we have a chance to transfer pharmacy? i.e. after doing 1 semester of another course are you still qualified to sit UMAT (undergrad)

Yes because you haven't completed an undergraduate degree yet.
