Booklist Help
(1/1)
bucket:
Well, first off, do you go through a whole textbook in a semester? It hardly seems possible, and seems to be a waste of money if we only end up using a small section of the book and then never needing it again :S. I honestly am not cool with paying 100 dollars for each book if that is the case.
Now for my question, in the booklist shown to me on my.monash I am confronted with this;
MTH1020
Prescribed
Choice of:
Stewart, Calculus: Early Transcendentals (Combined edition) 6ed, 116.96
or
Stewart J, Multivariable Calculus Early Transcendentals 6ed, 78.80
or
Stewart J, Single Variable Calculus: Early Transcendentals + CD 6ed, 83.55
Does this mean I choose one of those books? ??? All three have different titles and gives me the impression that they all cover different things. :S
This question will probably look ridiculous to all you guys going on to second year uni lol.
enwiabe:
It depends.
If you plan to do MTH1030, get the first one.
If you plan to only do MTH1020 and not carry on with maths to MTH1030, get the third one.
bucket:
yessssss i've got MTH1030 in semester 2, cheers man.
rhcpfox1:
You can also use the combined edition for MTH2010, so it might be worth investing in that, getting 3 subjects out of one textbook is a pretty good deal.
