Yah, but if you get like, low 30s in something like French, that is an easy 40+ after scaling, without the "effort" that is usually put into 40+ subjects.

i was expecting 40+ for french, but only got 33 :( it's not as easy to get good marks as it's cracked up to be.

  Yeah, you seemed to be low 40s material from what I saw on BOS. That exam was rather ambiguous though [haven't seen 2007's]; savoir faire in answering vcaa style qs probably counted for as much as French prowess

yeah, that's what i figured too. was pretty surprised with my mark, i came out of the exam expecting around 38 or so. but then again, i wasn't expected near 50 for english so it all balanced out in the end, can't really complain. it just goes to show you can never know exactly how well you've done...
