I do them within the time, but I went over 5 mins on S1 of the ACER test.

According to MedEntry, there is an error in Q4 on the ACER exam 1 and there are two possibilities for the answer.  I won't say it because people are probably going to do them and I don't want to stuff up the test for them.

More like really really hard!

Do people find that they are improving? Which section in particular?

Just my take, but S3 is the easiest to improve, and S1 is the hardest.  S2 lies somewhere in the middle, but every time I don't understand a word or emotion, I made a vocab sheet with definitions, so it has become easier.

Exam 8:
Sec 1: 41/44 (100th)
Sec 2: 32/40 (98th)
Sec 3: 28/38 (63rd)

You are owing it. How do you get so awesome on Section 1!  Congrats man.    You are gonna kill it come Wednesday week.

This is what I've been up to lately.

Exam 8
Section 1: 29/44 (67th percentile)
Section 2: 25/40 (44th percentile)
Section 3: 29/38 (79th percentile)

ACER Practice Test 1 2010
Section 1: 26/44  <  Edit: According to MedEntry, Q4 has an error.  Pretty sure they are right because I wasted time comparing two answers when they were both correct  >:(
Section 2: 34/40
Section 3: 35/38

I stink at S1 and I don't know how to get better.  I feel as if all the information is being thrown at me and before I even understand what the question is asking, I've already exceeded the time for that question.

Maybe going nuts with the highlighter could help me filter out the crap.  It works in VCE. :)

Apparently we aren't allowed to take in a highlighter. Just a pencil, sharpener and eraser. :)

I agree. My worst section is section 1, so I decided to practise it- not too much improvement. However I've improved greatly in S3 and S2 as well :)

hahaha, umm 41 was my best by a long way, i usually get like 34-36 and like 90-95th percentiles..
i dno, my reading is pretty fast, and some quesitons i cbf working  out i just guess and move onto the wquesitions which i can do..
and like process of elimination usually narrows it down to two plausible answersa, and just choose the one ur gut tels u to..works for me....
sec 3 sucks though :p

Yeah they're just drills anyway, only 6 Section 1 Questions for first drill and 12 Section 2 questions for second.

Are they from ACER? ;/ I havent done mine yet but dayum, theres an unwanted advantage >.>
