I still wish Ponting was actually run out on 99 :P

Haha ! imagine the look on his wife's face.

That's harsh (the wife part), but I actually wouldn't of minded him out on 99 (as long at Huss and Clarke still did what they did), I'm not a big Ponting fan tbh.

edit: Just on the India team, I think you need a spinner if Tendulkar isn't bowling his part-timers and I think Rohit Sharma needs a go. India can't win the series atm and they need to change something now.

Also I'd go Haddin out and Wade in, but it won't happen.
Haddin is lucky, I reckon the only reason he's still in the team is because Paine is injured (given Paine didn't make low scores if he was playing)

my team for india would be:  sehwag, gambhir, dravid, tendulkar, rohit sharma, virat kohli, vinay kumar, ishant sharma, umesh yadav, zaheer khan.
no spinner, and replace VVS with rohit.

cause seriously, the WACA. if anyone saw the big bash game last night, that outfield is fast as. i think vvs should be swapped, only cause i think rohit is more aggressive and the waca will be in his favour. and take aswhin out cause i doubt the wicket there will offer much for spinners. but saying that, the best bowlers the other night for the big bash were spinners!!! haha.. so maybe keep aswhin and not bring in vinay, but yeah. or they could try Ojha out instead of aswhin.

VVS totalled a decent score of 60-something in sydney. Kohli has never actually done anything for India.....except......get out

Nah...although initially  that seems like a quick fix solution since he's had a bit of a rough time at the crease, I think they should persist with Virat since he is likely to be a good future prospect. Also the inclusion of Rohit is a must! For Christ's sake he's been knocking on the doors of selectors for a long while now and has every right to do so with some great performances to back him up. :)

you cant drop kohli,

the big 3 will retire soon and then you will have to resort to kohli, who whill be underdone, not confident and jaded.

shuffle the batting order

give dravid a hit at opening and bring sehwag down.

Lol ^^

i think Sehwag should go down too. He's too costly, and doesnt make the runs he should....but then again, he probably wants to retire on a high note...which is not the type of runs he is getting

why sehwag? he has his days.., he's in form as well, coming out of a world record 219, and he's indias only, and two time 300 run scorer. he just needs to get going, and when he does, he sabotages that ball.

worse than australia... oooh . south africa have one good bowling attack!

I think its a bit more even with Australia's bowling line-up being weakened. Having said that, Australia has got Huss, Ponting and Clarke in good form (Warner looks in good touch too), so I'm going for a Sachin 100 but an Aussie win :)

Joke that Ashwin was dropped. so what if he is a spinner, still looked like one of India's best batsman. Should have dropped Virat the specialist fielder instead.

Yeah that's ridiculous, all the losses would have been even worse without him.
