Hughes (Katich injury might be the end of his career)

Ponting (Must move down if he wants to stay for next Ashes)

Smith (Interchange with A. McDonald on bouncy pitches)

i really hope hughes does well, sure there are some technical deficiencies, but someone doesnt make two centuries in consecutive innings, let alone their second test without some serious talent.

Need to keep playing him and have faith in him and his ability, its the only way he will improve and become a consistent opener for australia

So this looks like the probable squad....

WATSON
HUGHES
PONTING
CLARKE
HUSSEY
HADDIN
SMITH
JOHNSON
HILFA
BEER
HARRIS

So we will have 2 spin bowlers (smith, beer) 1 part time spin bowler (clarke)
4 fast men (johnson, hilfa, harris, watson)

IF johnson fails, we have 2 seamers and all rounder as our pace attack
Beer i cant see doing much and smith:S

IN MY OPINION
DROP BEER PLAY SIDDLE
That is a 5 man pace attack (siddle, harris, hilfa, johnson, watson)
Smith as the spinner (i think he should play, he can bat and with time i reckon he will become a good spin bowler)
Clarkle as a part timer if need
but we would have 6 bowlers practically there so it should look like

HADDING
SMITH
JOHNSON
SIDDLE

12th Beer
note: last 3 r in a random order for batting. I think by having smith after haddin it gives another batting option to continue story
