i think, the 1st, 3rd and 5th will be the best to attend! for the atmosphere and suspense ? what do you think rohit??

tbh, I'll be surprised if the Aussies make Day 5!

Yeah, not great how pattinson, siddle and maybe Warner won't be playing though.

Whose going boxing day/ family day (tuesday) ?!?

It's unpredictable.  1st and 2nd day will most likely allow you to see india bat.  Regardless of who wins the toss.

You didn't miss much if you watched it on TV. Yes Warner got his century and Dave Hussey a 50, but the atmosphere was poor. They had the fireworks going, but with the relatively small crowd of 29,000 (I think?) they didn't create much excitement.

Also, Warnie was a bit of a let down. 2 overs, no wickets.

The game was OK. It was my first ever Cricket game :D

Warner put on a show, TBH it had it's ups and downs. Lol the beach balls were flying all over the place, cops ended up pulling a few out.

The final crowd number was 22,000 odd.

Just finished up.

Was good. The atmosphere was poor if you didn't know the right bays to be in haha.

Warnie was a let down, as was Gayle, but overall enjoyable.

Great knocks from Warner and Hussey though.

This league is doomed. They needed 40k for this game to break even.

Granted I was in bay 3, one of my friends decided to bring his 9 year old cousin, so we did the responsible thing and stayed away from the excessive drinking

Well now that Christmas is out of the way time  for what we've really been waiting for, the Boxing day test!

Any opinions on the Australian side?

I'd say it's "ok". IMO it consists of a few players that are out of form, but could play well and a few new promising players, who can hopefully play well.

I'm also hoping nerves don't have a negative impact on the few new inclusions and we give it a good go.

India has a very strong batting line-up but their bowling seems weaker than normal.

Should be interesting  :)

"their bowling seems weaker than normal" - why is everyone saying this? LOL!

After comparing both bowling attacks it can be seen that the bowlers from both sides are of a similar standard and equally inexperienced....just because Australia is playing on home turf does not endow them a "massive" advantage as to say that they will clinch the series. On a side note, this new Indian bowling line up has indeed had its share of success against some of the strongest batting line ups of this decade. I know people might be inclined to disagree with this statement especially after India's disappointing series against England in England. However, we need to understand that before that series the Indians played a LOT of cricket with the IPL also adding to their busy schedule. This in turn led to some undesirable consequences and the loss of many senior players due to a string of injuries. Thus leaving a second string Indian side against a VERY impenetrable England batting line up only complemented by their deadly bowling attack led by Anderson. What am I rambling on about? Well basically before we go on saying stuff like that I think we should be more considerate of this line up....Oh that and I think India will win!!!

Let's just say that the odds are against Australia, don't worry about the bowling line up.

I mean tell me who is going to get the Australian runs on the board? Potential means nothing because the whole batting line up is out of form.
India is a patient batting side, collecting up to 550+ runs in their past few tests, whilst Australia couldn't even finish the hapless kiwis at 180 runs needed to win.

If Australia were to win it'll be one for the ages, and for Australia to win Khawaja must stand up, I'm guessing he'll make a maiden century in the first innings, mark my words oh inhabitants of the atarnotes community!

EDIT: Just found out Khawaja was dropped, you can all ignore my prophecy  :-[

Unfortunately he's not in the Boxing Day line up man   :(
He's form hasn't been the best of late.
