"Nothing excludes a person more effectively than not understanding the language of a particular group." Discuss with reference to Australian Society.

What could be some main points that you could talk about?

jackinthepatch:
A particular group (to reference Australian society maybe a group of farmers or something lol) may use jargon specific to their field of employment (farming), which would exclude people outside of that field who would not understand what was being said.

sick muzza:
some lingo was created by certain ethnicities, as they did not have words for things like 'backyards' in their homeland, so they would use a word like 'yarda'when speaking their native tongue. this lead to many people not understanding what they were saying, and a cultural divide between those people who knew the lingo and those that didnt.

You could also talk about how Australian English uses many idioms and slang, that would not be understood by people who didn't speak Australian English.
