Karma b**ches on VN

I'm highly curious to know, what the deal is with people who randomly smite your karma count for absolutely no reason.

You have no idea who they are or why the hell they exist, but on some random post completely unoffensive to anyone, and completely unaimed towards them, they decide to smite you citing ':D' as a reason.

These people should banned off VN... Extreme and whingy-sounding I know, but being a generally nice person, these unprovoked 'attacks' on a newbie trying to set up some sort of respectable contribution status for themselves here on VN piss me off.

>.< Thoughts? More smites? +1s? Looks like I don't have much of karma reputation left anyways. -_- Do what you will guys, just please let there be at least one nice person lol.

Was a med hopeful in 2011 currently studying Science/Laws at Deakin University.

Did English, Chinese SL, Methods CAS, Biology and Chemistry + Retail Cert III in Year 12.

Feel free to ask any questions related to the above; and I AM SOOO SORRY to all the people who've inboxed me since last year for my non-responsiveness, I forgot completely about this forum for quite awhile.

For 2012 and 2013 Year 12ers, I wish yous all the best!!! :D

I have yet to encounter a 'karma bitch'. I don't think people on the site take karma too seriously, it's more of a sideshow realy. As for my record, I have only ever smited two users:
- One for the guy who admited and boasted about cheating on the english exam and;
- One who resurected a very old thread.
Apart from that it's been nothing but love.

At first losing Karma to some loser annoyed me, but then I remembered it was just Karma on a forum.

“We are all alone, born alone, die alone, we shall all someday look back on our lives and see that, in spite of our company, we were alone the whole way. I do not say lonely -- at least, not all the time -- but essentially, and finally, alone. This is what makes your self-respect so important, and I don't see how you can respect yourself if you must look in the hearts and minds of others for your happiness.”

I like looking at who karmas me for what. At first m@tty just spammed me but then sometimes when I made a genuinely funny/usefull (moreoften the former cause there are too many geniuses here to help others out anyways) I wanted to know what was so good about what I wrote LOL. It's flattering.

Over9000 always made me laugh, so did kennybhoy.

I can see why a karma bitch might annoy you, I know one too. But it's karma, I give it out fairly loosely and it doesn't mean much- though some people take it seriously, but I won't name him :angel:

Is Darren94 the problem? I don't see why he gave you - karma in the first place either :S Doesn't really make sense. Maybe he was just bored? Don't take it personally I guess, I'm sure you're great!
