Ads similar to the cigarette ads aimed to get rid of obesity

Here is an article that discusses ads being shown where people are drinking body fat (stomach churns) and people downing sugar.

So this is what I want to ask. Will it work and be the 'cure' to obesity or just force people to loose weight through spewing?

I swear seeing one of those ads after a big night for new years eve has left me feeling ew!

Seriously watching one of those ads would cause me to lose 10kg through continual vomiting. According to my BMI that would make me underweight and trust me I was there before (through depression when I was 13) weighing only 29kg and I was ~170cm tall.
